Nadine Delrez

Nadine Delrez wasborn in Verviers (Belgium) in 1971.

In2013, she decided to take onher passion and she interrup tedher professional career to join the photography section of the “Saint-Luc” School of Arts in Liège. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 2016. During her curriculum, she has discovered theso-called “alternative” photographic techniques, to which she has not ceased to devote herself ever since, with a predilection for tri- orquadrichrome gumbichromate. This”non-argentic”photographic process consists of mixing gum arabic with diluted potassium bichromate and natural pigments, then coating the whole mixture on a support such as water color paper, before insolating it. Throughthis technique, freedom of creation is nearly total, while being random, even sometimes fortuitous

SZABÓ DEZSŐ – Black & White – VINTAGE GALÉRIA

fotogramas únicos em papel fotográfico do  húngaro:

SZABÓ Dezso (1967)

Studied between 1990-97 at the Painting Faculty of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. After his early monochrome paintings, his interest turned to photography. He records the scenes of air and natural disasters (Black Box, 1999), various natural phenomena (Tornado, 2001), enigmatic locations (Location, 2000), and deep-sea photography, on his small film camera, modelled from still photos extracted from television programmes, for the most part. With the re-creation of the scene and the image, Szabó questions the mechanisms of the functioning of images and their contemporary status. The self-annihilating logic of the maquette and the chosen subject matter indicates a kind of extreme in the modelling of the scene in his Time-Bomb series (2008).

Fake Olds

Market: several daguerreotypes fraudulently attributed to Gustave Le Gray, Louis-Auguste Bisson, or Louis Daguerre
